Penticton Youth Centre

The Penticton Youth Centre is a vital resource in our community, offering a “one-stop shop” for local youth. A first of its kind for community foundations in Canada, the Penticton Youth Centre is truly a self-sustaining business model that will ensure the longevity of this much needed community resource. The purchase of the building will continue to give back over the years as, once the mortgage is paid down, the building’s operating revenue will generate funds for annual youth granting. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, we reached our goal to raise $300,000 for the Youth Centre’s elevator project. This amount will be tripled thanks to a pledge from a private foundation from outside our region to match donations 2:1.

About the Penticton Youth Centre

Together, we successfully opened the Penticton Youth Centre in 2019, and its since become a vital resource in the community.

Approximately 1,000 youth benefit from the services at the Centre offered through OneSky’s Foundry Penticton, YMCA, ARC Programs and MCFD’s Child and Youth Mental Health.

We’re excited to move forward with the elevator project to enhance the space to be safer and more inclusive so that youth of all abilities can access the services at the Centre.
