“Give our Youth a Lift“
Together, we successfully opened the Penticton Youth Centre in 2019, but our work is not done yet.
An important goal of the Youth Centre is to remove barriers, both mental and physical. While the youth service providers are currently making accommodations for those with accessibility challenges, this is not the same as offering the same space to everyone.
An elevator is essential to offering services to all youth at the Youth Centre.
Join us in making the Penticton Youth Centre more accessible by contributing to our “Give our Youth a Life” campaign! Let’s give all youth access to these important services!
“An elevator is 100% a necessity. If it’s not accessible for everyone in the community, there is a lot of work that still needs to be done.”
~Honor Hollman, Former Foundry Peer Support Worker & YES Project Ambassador
“When people are facing barriers, it’s not fair to expect them to overcome them completely on their own. It’s up to us as social service providers to bring the services to them and make what seems scary, accessible.“
~Shelley Hunt, YMCA
