Thank you to all the dedicated charity leaders who joined us on Janaury 19th!
We’re hosting a facilitated session for the people who lead charities in the South Okanagan Similkameen. We hope this session will spark an ongoing conversation both within and outside the Foundation about our roles as a broker, catalyst and facilitator in our sector.
It’s not difficult to recognize that the landscape in which foundations/funders and charities operate is evolving. We know that we need to change and adapt, along with the organizations we serve, to ensure we are being the most effective we can be in supporting the charitable sector in the South Okanagan Similkameen. Instead of guessing what this looks like, we want to hear from you:For a moment, we want to shift the focus from How is the community doing? to How is your organization doing?
This session also represents an opportunity to flip the mentality of “foundation of funder and charity as grantee” and begin to explore different possibilities for our relationship.
If your charity hasn’t received a grant from us, you might think this session is not for you; however, we can’t tell you how important your feedback and perspective is to our planning and we’d really like to see you on the 19th.
We’re excited about the prospect of gaining your insights, and we look forward to engaging in conversation with you. We know that an afternoon of your time is significant, and we promise to make the best use of it.
Our sincere thanks to Okanagan College for hosting this event!
