Okanagan Int’l Children’s Festival

The 2010 Children’s Festival was another huge success and the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan was happy to play a small part.  The Festival applied to the Community Foundation for funding to purchase a marquee tent to house the ticket sales at the entrance to the event.

While we were unable to fund the entire request, we did support 1/2 the cost of the tent.

Besides benefitting the Children’s Festival, the Foundation was very pleased to hear that the Festival will be generously loaning it to other events in the area.  Talk about “pay it forward”!  This grant will be providing benefits to the community for years to come.
